What this website collects, and what we do with it.
What we collect
What you type into a form, and how this website is used (see analytics and advertising below). Questions about a tour, group tour requests and “notify me” requests use a form from WeTravel, our booking platform. It asks for your name and email, and optionally a phone number and your message, and uses Google reCAPTCHA to keep out spam. The brochure form asks for your email and optionally a phone number. The newsletter form asks for an email address alone.
What we do with it
Questions and brochure requests go straight to WeTravel, where our office answers them and keeps track of the conversation. Newsletter addresses are added to our mailing list in Mailchimp. We use your details to reply to you and to tell you about our tours — nothing else.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers who help us run the business: our booking platform (WeTravel), our email service (Mailchimp), and the analytics and advertising services described below.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel, loaded through Google Tag Manager. They show us which pages are visited, the type of device and rough region, and whether a form was sent or a booking made. They also measure our Google and Facebook advertising. Both set cookies in your browser.
If you send one of our own forms, Google may receive a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address to measure advertising.
You can block these cookies in your browser, or use Google’s opt-out add-on.
Booking and payment
When you reserve a seat you are handed to our booking platform, which takes your booking and payment details directly. We never see or store your card number.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also call or write to us and we will remove you.
