Getting ready
Before you go
The practical details, so nothing about departure day comes as a surprise. If anything here is still unclear, call us — we would rather answer it now than have you wondering.

Three to four weeks before
Your final documents
Three to four weeks before departure we send your final documents. They confirm everything you need on the day: your exact pickup location and time, the hotels on your itinerary with phone numbers, your tour director’s name, and a day-by-day schedule you can leave with family at home.

Getting on board
Where we pick you up
Motorcoach tours run designated pickup points across Wisconsin, so you board near home and come back to the same place.
- De Pere
- Appleton
- Oshkosh
- Fond du Lac
- Lomira
- Allenton
- Milwaukee
Flight-based tours depart from Milwaukee (MKE) or Chicago (ORD) unless the itinerary says otherwise.
How hard is it?
How intense are the tours?
Every tour says plainly how much walking and standing it involves.
Easy and relaxed
A very relaxed pace with minimal physical activity. Walking is limited and generally on flat, paved surfaces, with plenty of opportunities to rest. Much of the sightseeing happens from the coach. Ideal if you want to enjoy the journey without strenuous activity.
Light activity
A comfortable pace with light walking and moderate time on your feet. You should be able to walk through attractions, hotels and restaurants at an easy pace and manage short distances on your own. Expect some stairs or slightly uneven ground, with rest built into the day.
Moderate activity
A fuller day with regular walking and longer sightseeing. You should be comfortable walking over a mile a day at a steady pace to keep up with the group, and able to manage airports, stairs and occasional uneven ground independently. Best if you stay fairly active.

What to bring
Packing
Comfortable walking shoes matter more than anything else you pack — even on our easiest tours you will be on your feet more than a normal day at home.
Bring layers, since coaches and theaters run cool. Keep medication, documents and anything you need during the day in a small bag that stays with you on the coach.
Luggage handling at hotels is included, so pack a case you can live out of rather than one you can carry.
Anything we haven't answered?
Call the office and ask. A real person answers, and no question is too small — we are asked most of them every week.
