Tom’s Christian Tours exists to provide quality travel experiences in a Christian atmosphere. Tours include devotions, singing, and opportunities for fellowship with old and new friends. Tom’s Christian Tours continues to travel forward as the company will move into the hands of Tom and Becca Monroe in July 2025. (The new owners are Scott and Tammy’s son and daughter-in-law.) Many new travel opportunities are now available with Tom’s Christian Tours.

Day 1
Monday, February 15
Our Texas adventure begins as we depart Wisconsin and travel south through Illinois. Along the way, we’ll enjoy comfortable travel with rest stops and time for fellowship. By late afternoon, we arrive in Springfield, Illinois, where we check into our hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening and overnight.
Day 2
Tuesday, February 16
After breakfast, we travel southwest through Illinois toward Missouri. Our day includes a stop in St. Louis to see the iconic Gateway Arch, one of America’s most recognizable landmarks. After time to enjoy the area and take photos, we continue on to Springfield, Missouri, where we check into our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Wednesday, February 17
This morning we depart Springfield and travel south toward Texas. As we cross into the Lone Star State, the landscape begins to change, signaling the start of our Texas adventure. Upon arrival, we are welcomed with an authentic Texas BBQ dinner, a true taste of Texas hospitality. After dinner, we check into our hotel for the night.
Day 4
Thursday, February 18
After breakfast, we head into downtown Dallas for a visit to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, offering a meaningful look into American history. We’ll also enjoy time exploring downtown Dallas before traveling west to the Fort Worth Stockyards, where classic Texas charm, historic streets, and unique shops bring cowboy heritage to life. We return to our hotel in the evening.
Day 5
Friday, February 19
Today begins in Waco, Texas, where we spend the morning at Magnolia Market. Enjoy time browsing the shops and relaxing at the famous food trucks for lunch. Afterward, we make a fun stop at one of Texas’s favorite landmarks — Buc-ee’s — before continuing on to Austin, Texas, where we check into our hotel for the night.
Day 6
Saturday, February 20
After breakfast, we enjoy a peaceful morning at Zilker Botanical Garden, featuring beautifully landscaped gardens and tranquil walking paths in the heart of Austin. Later, we visit the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library, gaining insight into the life and leadership of the 36th President. The evening is free to relax and enjoy Austin at your own pace.
Day 7
Sunday, February 21
This morning we travel south to San Antonio, one of Texas’s most beloved cities. Upon arrival, you’ll have free time to stroll the famous River Walk, lined with shops, restaurants, and scenic walkways. We will be staying in the River Walk district for two nights, allowing plenty of time to enjoy this iconic area.
Day 8
Monday, February 22
Today features some of San Antonio’s most iconic attractions, beginning with a visit to the historic Alamo. We’ll also enjoy time at the Town of the Americas, followed by a relaxing Riverboat ride along the San Antonio River, offering a unique perspective of the city’s history and charm. The evening is free to enjoy the River Walk at your leisure.
Day 9
Tuesday, February 23
After breakfast, we turn north and travel back toward the Dallas area. Upon arrival in Richardson, Texas, we visit the George W. Bush Presidential Library, an engaging look at modern American history. We then check into our hotel and enjoy a restful evening.
Day 10
Wednesday, February 24
Today we begin our journey home, traveling north through Texas and into Missouri. Along the way, we enjoy scenic stops and fun breaks, keeping the day relaxed and enjoyable. By evening, we arrive in Springfield, Missouri, where we check into our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 11
Thursday, February 25
After breakfast, we continue north through Missouri and Illinois. The changing scenery provides a pleasant backdrop as we travel toward Moline, Illinois, where we arrive late afternoon and check into the Stoney Creek Hotel for our final overnight together.
Day 12
Friday, February 26
Our final day begins with breakfast before departing Moline. We’ll enjoy scenic stops and a midday lunch along the way as we return home to Milwaukee, Fond du Lac, Green Bay or other drop off points, arriving with wonderful memories and lasting friendships from our Texas adventure.
Who is Tom’s Christian Tours?
We are a Christian-based tour company that plans and leads worry-free travel experiences. From motorcoach getaways to international adventures, we handle the details so you can enjoy the journey. Our home base is in the Lake Country Region of Southeast WI.
Do you only do tours for individuals, or do you work with groups too?
Both! We welcome individuals, friends and couples on our scheduled tours, and we also specialize in coordinating custom trips for churches, schools, and other groups.
Do I have to be a member of a church to travel with you?
Not at all. While our tours are Christ-centered and often include devotions, all are welcome to join us.
What if your tour dates do not work with my schedule?
No Worries. Tom’s Christian Tours can work with you to schedule you on a group tour anywhere in the world. *these tours would not have a TCT host/guide along on the tour
Who leads the tours?
Our experienced tour directors travel with you to ensure everything runs smoothly, while also providing Christian fellowship along the way. Exact tour director will vary by tour.
What should I pack?
Each traveler receives a packet with travel tips, luggage requirements, and packing suggestions specific to their tour 3-4 weeks prior to departure.
Is there time for personal exploration?
Yes! Our itineraries include guided activities as well as free time to relax or explore at your own pace.
