General Company Questions
Q: Who is Tom’s Christian Tours?
A: We are a Christian-based tour company that plans and leads worry-free travel experiences. From motorcoach getaways to international adventures, we handle the details so you can enjoy the journey. Our home base is in the Lake Country Region of Southeast WI.
Q: Do you only do tours for individuals, or do you work with groups too?
A: Both! We welcome individuals, friends and couples on our scheduled tours, and we also specialize in coordinating custom trips for churches, schools, and other groups.
Q: Do I have to be a member of a church to travel with you?
A: Not at all. While our tours are Christ-centered and often include devotions, all are welcome to join us.
Q: What if your tour dates do not work with my schedule?
A: No Worries. Tom’s Christian Tours can work with you to schedule you on a group tour anywhere in the world. *these tours would not have a TCT host/guide along on the tour
Registration
Q: How do I register for a tour?
A: You can register online through the link provided for each tour, or by calling our office for assistance.
Q: When is my payment due?
A: A deposit is required at registration to hold your seat. Final payment deadlines vary by tour and are listed in your tour documents.
Q: Do you offer travel insurance?
A: Yes. Upon registration you will have the option to add travel insurance to your tour. Prices will vary based on location of the tour, duration and some personal factors.
Booking & Payments
Q: Can I hold a reservation before paying my deposit?
A; Reservations are confirmed once your deposit is received. Because many of our tours fill quickly, we encourage guests to submit their registration and deposit as soon as possible to secure their spot. If a tour is full, we are happy to add your name to a waiting list and will contact you if space becomes available.
Q: What is your cancellation and refund policy?
A: Our cancellation policy varies by tour and is outlined in the tour brochure and registration materials. In general, deposits are non-refundable, and cancellation penalties increase closer to departure due to supplier commitments. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in case of illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept checks, ACH and major credit cards (There are small fees for ACH and Credit Card Payments). Payment instructions are provided at the time of registration. If paying by check, please follow the mailing instructions included in your confirmation materials.
Q: Can I make monthly payments before the final due date?
A: Yes! Many of our guests choose to make periodic payments leading up to the final due date. You are welcome to submit payments at any time before the final balance is due.
Q: What happens if a tour is canceled by Tom’s Christian Tours?
A: In the unlikely event that we must cancel a tour due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, all payments made to Tom’s Christian Tours will be refunded in full or may be transferred to another tour of your choice.
Travel Details
Q: Where do your tours depart from?
A: Most motorcoach tours depart from designated pick-up locations in Wisconsin. Typical Pickup locations are DePere, Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Lomira, Allenton & Milwaukee.
Flight-based tours include flights from Milwaukee or Chicago unless otherwise noted. Other departure locations can be accommodated upon request.
Q: Are meals included?
A: Each tour includes a number of meals, which vary by itinerary. Full details are listed in the tour brochure.
Q: What if I need special assistance or have dietary needs?
A: Please let us know at registration, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Travel Logistics
Q: Is airfare included on your tours?
A: Airfare is included on all tours that need a flight and clearly noted in each tour brochure. For motorcoach tours, transportation from designated departure locations is included. Please review the specific tour brochure for complete details on what is included.
Q: What airport do flights depart from?
A: For tours that include airfare, departure airport information will be provided in the tour brochure. Most flights depart from either Chicago or Milwaukee
Q:Can I arrive early or stay after the tour ends?
A: In many cases, early arrivals or extended stays may be arranged. Please contact us before booking airfare so we can assist with proper arrangements and ensure smooth transfers.
Q: Can you help match me with a roommate?
A: If you are traveling alone and would like to share a room, we will do our best to help match you with another same-gender traveler. While we cannot guarantee a roommate match, we make every effort to assist.
Before Departure
Q: When will I receive my final travel documents?
A: Final itineraries, luggage tags, and departure details are typically sent 3–4 weeks prior to departure once final payments are received.
Q: How can family members contact me while I am on tour?
A: Emergency contact information will be provided in your final documents. Family members may contact Tom’s Christian Tours in case of urgent need.
Q: Where can I find packing suggestions?
A: Packing recommendations and weather guidance will be included in your final travel documents. We recommend comfortable walking shoes and modest, layered clothing appropriate for the destination.
On the Tour
Q: Who leads the tours?
A: Our experienced tour directors travel with you to ensure everything runs smoothly, while also providing Christian fellowship along the way. Exact tour director will vary by tour.
Q: What should I pack?
A: Each traveler receives a packet with travel tips, luggage requirements, and packing suggestions specific to their tour 3-4 weeks prior to departure.
Q: Is there time for personal exploration?
A: Yes! Our itineraries include guided activities as well as free time to relax or explore at your own pace.
Travel Documents, Insurance & Safety
Q: Do I need a passport for international tours?
A: Yes. A valid passport is required for all international tours and must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Visa requirements vary by destination, and we will provide guidance if necessary.
Q: Is travel insurance required?
A: Travel insurance is not required but is highly recommended. Insurance can provide coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, baggage loss, and travel delays. We strongly encourage protecting your investment.
Q: What if I have a medical condition or mobility concerns?
A: We welcome guests of varying abilities; however, many tours involve walking, stairs, and uneven terrain. Please inform us of any medical conditions or mobility concerns at the time of registration so we can help determine if a tour is suitable for you.

A: Your safety is our priority. We work with reputable travel partners and monitor conditions in each destination. In the event of unexpected circumstances, we will communicate promptly and make adjustments as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of our group.
Meals & Special Needs
Q: What meals are included?
A: Included meals are listed in each tour brochure. Typically, breakfast is included daily, along with select group lunches or dinners. Any meals not listed are at your leisure.
Q: Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
A: We do our best to communicate dietary restrictions to hotels and restaurants; however, accommodations cannot always be guaranteed, especially internationally. We recommend guests with severe allergies or strict dietary needs bring supplemental snacks when appropriate.

Q: What is the typical group size?
A: Group sizes vary by tour but are typically between 30–50 travelers on motorcoach tours. International tours may vary. Traveling as a group allows us to build lasting friendships and enjoy shared experiences together.
Q: What is the average age of travelers?
A: Most of our travelers are adults and seniors, though we welcome anyone who enjoys Christian fellowship and meaningful travel experiences.
Q: How much walking is required?
Walking requirements vary by tour. Many destinations include guided sightseeing that may involve walking on uneven surfaces, stairs, or extended periods of standing. Please review the tour details and contact us if you have concerns.
Q: Are your tours faith-based?
A: Yes! As Tom’s Christian Tours, we incorporate Christian fellowship into our travels. Many tours include devotional times, Christian leadership, and spiritually meaningful experiences, especially on biblical or heritage tours.
