Tom’s Christian Tours exists to provide quality travel experiences in a Christian atmosphere. Tours include devotions, singing, and opportunities for fellowship with old and new friends. Tom’s Christian Tours continues to travel forward as the company will move into the hands of Tom and Becca Monroe in July 2025. (The new owners are Scott and Tammy’s son and daughter-in-law.) Our journey begins as we board our flight to Costa Mesa. Upon arrival, we head to our hotel and check in. This evening, enjoy a delightful welcome dinner at the hotel as we settle in and prepare for an unforgettable Rose Parade experience. D

Day 2

Wednesday, December 30, 2026


After breakfast, we visit the final staging area to see the stunning Tournament of Roses parade floats receiving their finishing touches before their grand procession down Colorado Boulevard. Next, we savor a delectable three-course lunch at the renowned Lawry’s The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills. In the afternoon, experience an exciting behind-the-scenes Hollywood Studio tour. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your leisure, with dinner on your own. B/L

Day 3

Thursday, December 31, 2026


Following breakfast, we embark on a scenic one-hour cruise aboard the Catalina Express to Catalina Island. Upon arrival, the charming town of Avalon awaits, offering a variety of boutiques, restaurants, and activities. Explore at your own pace—perhaps tour the historic Casino, join a guided tour of Avalon, or rent a golf cart or bicycle to discover the island’s beauty. The evening is a festive affair featuring elegant dining, dancing, and a lively Monte Carlo-style casino experience. Celebrate the New Year with party hats, favors, prize drawings, and a champagne toast as we welcome 2027 in style. B/D

Day 4

Friday, January 1, 2027


Start the New Year with an exciting highlight: premium grandstand seats to view the magnificent Rose Parade as it winds its way down Colorado Boulevard. A souvenir program and blanket are included to enhance your experience. After the parade, we return to the hotel for a special Southern California-style BBQ lunch. Take some free time to unwind before an exclusive performance in the hotel ballroom later this afternoon. Dinner this evening is at your leisure. B/L


Note: Option to attend the 2 PM Rose Bowl game. Price TBD 2026 prices are $750 per person middle rows corner seating;

$850 per person middle rows, sidelines between the goal lines;

$925 middle rows between the 15 yard lines. Please anticipate

5-10% increase for 2027 game tickets.

Day 5

Saturday, January 2, 2027


After breakfast, we return to Pasadena to admire the spectacularly decorated floats up close at Floatfest: A Rose Parade Showcase. We transfer to San Diego where we check in to our hotel, followed by a stroll through the Gaslamp Quarter's 16 blocks which are peppered with Victorian-style buildings that now house a variety of shops, art galleries, theaters and trendy restaurants. Enjoy dinner on your own before we return to the hotel. B/D

Day 6

Sunday, January 3, 2027


Our day begins with a tour of San Diego. We admire the city’s beautiful coastal landscapes and antique architecture. We view the beautiful Victorian facades found in the city’s Gaslamp Quarter and continue to Balboa Park, considered home to a number of museums, gardens and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. We pass through La Jolla, playground of the city’s wealthy residents. The area’s cliff-strewn coastline also features a community of seals and a collection of sea caves, along with top-notch views of San Diego from on top of Mount Soledad. We end in the old town known as the birthplace of California where we have time to explore the range of restaurants, shops and historic architecture dating back to the 18th century. We check into our hotel and enjoy dinner this evening. B/D

Day 7

Monday, January 4, 2027


Following breakfast, we visit Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcalá, one of the first of the great California missions which marks the origin of Christianity in the American west. Founded in 1769, this remarkable historical shrine provides an understanding of the roots of Catholicism in this part of the world, and a look at the extraordinary dedication of the Spanish priests who traveled far from their home country. We have the rest of the day to explore on our own. 


Choose one of the sights from the tour yesterday, visit a beach or museum, do some shopping, or consider a harbor cruise, there is plenty tochoose from! This evening, we meet for a farewell dinner. B/D

Day 8

Tuesday, January 5, 2027


It is time to bid farewell to new friends as we transfer to the airport and journey home, taking with us memories of an extraordinary trip. B

    We are a Christian-based tour company that plans and leads worry-free travel experiences. From motorcoach getaways to international adventures, we handle the details so you can enjoy the journey. Our home base is in the Lake Country Region of Southeast WI.

  • Do you only do tours for individuals, or do you work with groups too?

    Both! We welcome individuals, friends and couples on our scheduled tours, and we also specialize in coordinating custom trips for churches, schools, and other groups.

  • Do I have to be a member of a church to travel with you?

    Not at all. While our tours are Christ-centered and often include devotions, all are welcome to join us.

  • What if your tour dates do not work with my schedule?

    No Worries. Tom’s Christian Tours can work with you to schedule you on a group tour anywhere in the world.  *these tours would not have a TCT host/guide along on the tour

  • Who leads the tours?

    Our experienced tour directors travel with you to ensure everything runs smoothly, while also providing Christian fellowship along the way. Exact tour director will vary by tour.

  • What should I pack?

    Each traveler receives a packet with travel tips, luggage requirements, and packing suggestions specific to their tour 3-4 weeks prior to departure.

  • Is there time for personal exploration?

    Yes! Our itineraries include guided activities as well as free time to relax or explore at your own pace.
